Mike's Beach?

Post by eh.haole »

Is anyone here a Mike's Beach Resort patron? I tried calling them a couple times... any point in trying to just show up or book on short notice in the summer? (E.g. van/tent camper?)

Don't know. Flag pole is great tho. But a long swim.

I'd recommend sekiu ... dive on a stretch of high tide, low swell/surf days days

Yeah deep basins, camper crowds and shallow jellies, sounds fun

Tongue Point was excellent, would repeat.
Heard there were crowds and a fire at Lake Crescent recently.
Anything of interest below 30-40ft at Sekiu shores?

We spent 3 days at Mike's last month and had a great time. Few people very peaceful, and the viz for diving was very good. I suggest keep calling and leaving messages, they should get back to you.

Hi
There's nothing deeper than 40 at Sekiu. I see no problem with that!
Salt Creek may have better camping and is pretty close to Sekiu. I'd say Sekiu has better diving these days.
