ThThTh 11/4

Post by YellowEye »

Howdy! Who's up for diving this Thursday? We hope to see lumpies! Bay pipefish, tons of gunnels, octos, and baby wolfies have also recently been reported.

We need to watch the wind. If the wind is bad we may hit Three Tree, or just hit the Harp directly 🙂

I'm in.

I can confirm lumpies and pipefish and baby wolfies at Three Tree. Haven't been back down to Redondo since before all the rain supposedly turned it into muddy zero vis... Though if I'm looking at the tide chart correctly, hitting Three Tree in the evening tomorrow might be tough with current, right?

Looking forward to finally getting to meet some folks from this group!

Great!

Three tree current is not bad during an ebb.

There were reports of decent vis at Redondo on pnwdiving.com since last Thursday's mudbath -- the bad viz is only on the surface.

Does it look like you'll end up at Redondo then?

I believe Redondo will likely be ok
Meet time is 6-6:30. Jess and I will be there 6:30 plus. Jess' car service is finishing up so hopefully we'll be okay.
There are probably 2-4 others going besides us and you.

Wellllll the water was looking a little choppy (especially by the boat ramp) but Don and I thought we'd give it a try from the aquarium line. Viz looked pretty good down to 40 ft, 25-30ft fairly clear with snowy chunks. Saw a nice moon jelly and then we had a minor mask failure that warranted thumbing the dive basically right away. Oh well!
we got no troubles life is the bubbles
