Club Dive, Thursday November 8th

Post by BbbleMkr »

6pm, Cove 2! We are celebrating Pez's 100th and Penopoly Pants' 100th dive! Yay! (It will also be my first time in the pool in a month and that makes me very happy-clappy.)

Come join us! I think Bob's in and we can probably wrangle Sgt. Pepper, Rich and a few others. Sounder? Tom Nic? Bassman (if you're healthy)? We'll gather, chat, dive and head for pizza and beer afterwards. Maybe we'll have shark tales, aggressive shrimp stories or at least some good "What do you think _that_ was?" chats.

Should be a fun way to wind and wend down to the end of the week.

Hope to see you there. :)

I will not be staying 60 ft or less on this dive I suspect. I'm not sure who will all be there, but I noticed no one had responded to your request yet, and I didn't want to leave you hanging. :salute:

I'm sitting in a marketing class wishing I was there with ya. I'm sure you're underwater at this moment, probably seeing Blondie or Junior II.

I miss dive, beer, & pizza nights. :-({|=

It was great! Saw a baby octo, a grunt sculpin, some *very* large crabs, and all the other usuals. Did a 45 min dive in the shallows with H20doctor and it was very nice and relaxing :)

Oh, saw a dead seal too :\

The seal was dead when we saw it Wednesday night ... the crabs were already feasting.

My group got in the water around 5 last night ... we chanced upon a large dogfish just laying on the botton along the boundary rope at around 50 feet. I think we disturbed his nap. Of course, I had decided not to bring my camera (assuring we'd see something cool).

The glass turtle's been moved ... it wasn't on the jackstraw pilings, where I had seen it last week ...

We had a great dive (I-Beams), and time (pizza and beer at Pegasus)!!! It was nice meeting H2O Doc. We all were bummed our organizer, BbbleMkr, couldn't make it at the last moment, but hopefully she will put another club dive together again real soon.

Here are a couple pics:
