I think I would opt for Titlow as the Sunrise wall may be a bit crowded...I can't dive till about 10 any way.

I've heard terrific things about sunrise and I'd love to go but I'm a little wary of this:
PS DepthChargers are having their club dive at Sunrise on Sat as well, which means that every charter boat will be there too. Last time there was something like 30+ divers on that little wall.
What do you guys think? :rr:

Hey Tang,
Yes the club is having it's dive there and as I said, you can be sure that Bandito will have at least 2 of it's boats there if Sunrise is diveable...the club is planning to splash at 945am....
You do the math. :)
I love Sunrise but I don't like dive sites that look like an LA traffic jam..

That's a possibility, ,,,,,I have dove Sunrise several times and have yet to see anyone else shore diving on a Saturday (so far) once Bandito showed up with a few divers but it was far from crowded???? Last time I dove Titlow on a pretty bad weather day there were several other divers and a group of Sheriff's department divers too, still wasn't a problem though???

What is this LA mob that is going to be at Sunrise??? I doubt our small club AND a Bandito boat would = a crowded dive? the site is pretty big... I know Ryan and I are pretty set on Sunrise. Titlow is nice and a way easier access for sure , but it sure is no Sunrise...
I will check with Ryan and see if he wants to do Titlow instead, I know Jeff W. was considering taking the plunge this weekend too...I'll know by Friday night for sure, ,,,????

Hood Canal

Post by Tangfish »

I propose we do the same plan we were going to do last weekend, before the windstorm. 3 tanks, beautiful day at Hood Canal. Sund Rock and Octopus Hole. Any takers?!

O.k. I think we are going to meet at my house at 8 and shoot for Sunrise and if the :PS Depthchargers" show in multitudes we can always scurry over to Titlow. So I guess we'll see what happens!!!!

Hey Janne, I am seeing slack at 11 and 4 tomorrow and you definitely want to do Sunrise close to slack. The currents get ripping around the Narrows,,,,just an f.y.i

Janne and I did 2 dives out at Redondo. They were ok-ish, the weather was good and I found a little squid that we chased around and he tried to ink us several times. It was like a tiny little fountain pen in the massive ocean...very ineffective but endearing nonetheless.

So, what do you think about doing a local dive tomorrow? Edmonds Oil Dock anyone?

I'm open to suggestions, I know that Janne wants to go to Hood Canal but that's quite a bit of diving for a weekend isn't it? I think I need an Argon bottle, I was chilly in the 44 degree water on the second dive!

Come on man, aren't you the dive fiend? ;)

Well you could get a decent undergarment first and try the argon after that if you still are freezing. ;)
