You're moving to Albany? I grew up in Albaquerque, myself. After all these horrible puns, I might need an Alba-seltzer.

I'm afraid I can't make the Wednesday Club dive. I dove there last night and with the traffic, parking, silting, fishermen and darkness below 50' I don't think I'll be doing anymore late afternoon dives at Cove Duece.
I know a lot of you like that spot but to me diving Cove 2 is like backpacking on Queen Anne Hill. ](*,)
Consider this my trip report from last nights dive.

Great dives at Cove 2
I swear, the best way to find a GPO is to have Nailer bail on a dive. Yet again, we had an awesome dive. Dave, Sgt. Pepper and I did Cove 2. Parking was a breeze, pulled right in. Not too many people around. Vis was good. Did a dive to 101fsw for 1:06. Saw two GPOs, a stubby squid, nice painted greenlings, a pile of hooded nudibranchs next to some nudi eggs (I think they were hooded nudis) and a bunch of other cool small stuff. Dave got to try out his new camera, which looked awesome!
Thanks Nailer!!!

Are those Albariffic pics taken with her Albariffic Cam?
Man an hr long dive and 100' + max depth... I've got allot of learning and practice ahead of me!
The wife and I had a nice short and shallow dive tinkering with our compass ect ect. We surfaced Exactly where we wanted with a 10min shorter dive duration than we hoped but it get's a little boring in shallow dives at cove2..

Hermit "D" Crab
A nice dive to do at cove 2 is to go down the boundary cable to the dolphins and spend some time looking for octos, then cut across over to the I-beams and look for warbonnets (usually 30-35 mins @ 90-110), then come upslope and hit all the pilings from 60 feet up to the Honey Bear. Then take 10-15 mins swimming over from the Honey Bear and get out. Runtimes are usually 60+ mins and average depths are 50-60 fsw.jlehigh wrote: Man an hr long dive and 100' + max depth... Generally takes larger tanks (119s/130s) with EAN32.

dang Calvin, i'm so calling PETA to tell them what you're doing to your horse. haha.
From the looks of the pic of that octo, you were awefully close. Do they ever attack or something? Big things with long arms scare me... like Shaq, Abominable Monster, Snakes on a Plane, etc.
