Tacoma/Fed Way, 6/24

Post by ldevore »

I have to go to Tacoma for work on Wed., which is a perfect excuse to get some diving in after work. Anyone up for a dive? Les Davis, Redondo, 3TN, in the evening?

Bassman - Unfortunately, I can't change the day this week and I have another comitment on Thursday evening. Once the fall hits, I should be able to join you on some Thursdays. :occasion5:

Bob - what about you. Are you up for a dive???

Yeah Bob, make it happen! I think I'll be there with KTB around 6-7ish. The tides, and currents look okay around 7:30:

I'm always up for late afternoon / evening dives in the Tacoma area. I'm new to the Puget Sound and the dive club, but have lots of experience. If you want a new dive club member to tag along, then I'm up for it. Just let me know when and where!

Wednesday at Redondo at 6:30 PM sounds great to me. I drive a silver Nissan Xterra with a dive club sticker on the back windshield.

Is anyone doing a second dive? If so, I might be able to make it. My car was already packed for a dive that I couldn't make this morning.....

I'm up for a second dive if anyone wants to show up. First dive is after gearing up at 6:30, so I'll wait in the lot until 8:00 to see if anyone is there for the second. Driving a silver Nissan Xterra.

Welp, we'll be at Les Davis at 7pm if anyone is still thinking about hitting that up.

Tom and I met up at 6:30 as a few evening showers were finishing up, but the wind was still kicking up some good chop. It was definately "veggie stew" by the shore, with tons of kelp and even a few deadheads washing in. After a kick out to the end of the pier, we dropped down and by the time we hit the big pipe, the viz had opened up wonderfully! :partydance: We had a very pleasent tour down to the bug. Lots of looking in and around all the objects. I was particularly facinated by all the different crabs we saw.

All in all, it was a great dive. I've only been to this site as a night dive a few times. This is a good remider to get back there more often.
