The Legend of NWDC

Matt, I need a legend. Every thread has an icon next to the title. Orange. Orange with a dot. Orange with an arrow and a dot. Orange with an arrow and no dot. White with no dot or arrow. White with a dot and an arrow... and a star.

You see where I'm going with this. I need a decoder ring please.

Since Spitman went on vacation and left us to fend for ourselves (inconsiderate bastard for not bringing a smart phone to catch up on his NWDC and keep up with this grave responsibility)... here's a list (short) of icons from the phpbb theme:

That funny blushing smiley is there because I selected it in the "post icon" option when I wrote it ..mainly because I was being bashful about asking as a newbie THe other answers seem more fun, but thought I'd let you know the truth...no matter how boring, lol

I think the first rule is ----its all about fun. But I am disappointed the smiley isn't about Rick Whats-his-name....(or some other washed up star from the '80s...gives you some idea of the date range of folks you are dealing with here....)

If I can recall, Calvin's second rule is---refer to rule 1.

Did you decide with the dry-vs-semi dry thing? Dry is the way to go but its $$$. If you wanna go semi dry (call it semi-warm wet)
at least you have the piece of mind that you expect to get wet---vs the dry guys that go---"what the heck...a leak? ahhh-dang" which I NEVER hear....

'Course all kidding aside...I dive dry and most folks I know that want to dive often do too so it is self evident. You can get a drysuit on sale and the like for 1k and its worth it....the nicer suits are nicer materials and the like of course and your mileage may vary.

I have dove Canada wet but I won't again...I suppose that says it all...
