2 parts fresh squeezed lime juice, 1 part water, 1/2 - 1 part OJ (not from concentrate), all the zest from the limes you used, and sugar to taste. Let that mixture sit in the fridge over night, stirring once or twice. Filter/skim-out the zest in the morning, and use the juice as your mix, add top-shelf 100% Agave ONLY tequila and Patron Citronage (instead of triple sec) to taste and/or for desired effect in a shaker. Shake with ice and strain into a frozen martini galss with kosher-salted rim. Repeat.

Well first off I would empty the cheese from my bacon Margarita mug
Then you replace some of Dougs ingredients with bacon and bacon bits and VIOLA!

Sounder, thanks for the recipe! I will save that for when I'm NOT making margarita's for 10+ coworkers. Too labor-intensive to mass produce.
airsix, you have impeccable taste, as always. :luv:
mz, I wouldn't apply that rule to beer, let alone tequila!
spatman, I really want to hear that story!

Nah...I don't make my own drinks anymore...somehow I never figured out how to measure so my husband has taken over the mixmeister role. I am not saying mine are inedibile...but they can knock you flat on the kitchen floor even before you can make it outside to enjoy it.scottsax wrote: oregondiver, you're more than welcome! Norris...I think my husband wants one of those. You got a recipe (aka directions) for that?

Re: Because it's not always about beer and tacos...
Only once - on the way back from a motorcycle trip down the Baja peninsula. I rode into town at about 10pm - pretty tired after riding the Baja "highway" since 5am - and promptly got lost. Rode around for about 90mins trying to find my way to the border crossing. Hard to believe that anyone could get lost when there's only one sign directing people, and it is about 1' square, 50 yards off the street with the following written in 1" letters: "US Border Crossing - 3rd left, followed by a right and then leftish at one of the traffic circles - the one with the statue in the middle - not the statue of the guy wearing a hat, the one with the guy without a hat. Good luck." I got the complete tour - when I found myself riding down a road with 12' concrete walls and razor wire either side I started to wish I was back in the part of town where there were weirdos on every street corner with navigation skills no better than my Spanish and hundreds of cars with drunken drivers routinely ignoring traffic lights and signs. At least that way I figured when I woke up in a freaky hospital minus my motorcycle, passport, and having "donated" a couple of organs, I'd still have my life. I mean, at least a guy could still talk his way to a free margarita right?spatman wrote:ever been to tijiana? trust me, you really don't want the "free" margaritas, because you pay for them in other ways.mz53480 wrote:Free. 10 co-workers? A) skip the mixer and just shoot it. B) go with the standard cuervo gold + cuervo marg mixer... after a few, who cares what they taste like... RIGHT LYNNE?!

2. Pour into mouth.
3. Repeat step two.

Here's an easy one, especially for a group. Get a big sun tea jug. Pour in the following:
1 bottle of Tarantula tequila
1 bottle of Triple Sec
1 bottle of Rose's lime
64 oz bottle of lemon-lime Gatorade
It's really not too bad, it's easy to mix and the best part--it won't give you a hangover. The Gatorade keeps you hydrated!!!
