What's your favorite time waster game?

Post by Mattleycrue76 »

Ok, I'm not talking about console video games here. I mean the addictive little online games and smartphone apps that you play when you have a few minutes. I got hooked a while back with time management games like Diner Dash, then I had a bout with Angry Birds for a while but lately I have developed a serious Plants vs. Zombies problem. That one is currently far and away my favorite. How about you?

As far as app stuff, I'm still back on Angry Birds. I do a lot of console video games and am working on an Internet review show. But for relaxation, I like card games on my computer. I usually get the latest version of Hoyle Card Games, plus a couple of independent ones that I picked up somewhere along the way. Not very imaginative, I'm afraid.

x- construction- great game where you build bridges and then test them with a train pass, if it fails you watch it collapse and hear all the passengers screaming

alchemy- cool game where you combine elements to make other things

space physics- hard to explain but fun.

Back in the day, I worked with this insanely beautiful woman who never seemed to want to date me. Regardless of that, I still referred to her as "my future ex-wife".

Plants vs. Zombies is also awesome. I have a recurring addiction to Angry Birds. I get it from the Market, play it for a few weeks, delete it in disgust with myself, download it, play it for a few weeks, delete it in disgust with myself....

I did the same with doodle-jump. I would spend hours trying to beat my high score (83268) and fail miserably.. then I would see the global high scores of ~3 million and feel a lot better about my lack of a social life.. it took me TWO YEARS to get the high score I did. Somewhere, nestled in the slums of yakima is a 25 year old high on meth just mocking my accomplishments.

Temple Run has burned many hours for me. I play it on the plane and my flight time seams much faster.
Life can be short and dives even shorter. Time off work will put it all in perspective.
