Call for volunteers -- NWDC booth at Expo

Post by ktb »

Dive Expo Show Floor
Saturday, April 9, 10 am – 6 pm
Sunday, April 10, 10 am – 4 pm

With all that NWDC has given to you, don’t you think it’s time to give back? Ok, so seriously . . . NWDC once again has a booth at the upcoming Dive Expo in Tacoma and I have been asked to corral volunteers for booth shifts. So if you’re ready to quit hiding behind your avatar and put your best fin forward in support NWDC, please let me know which 1-hour shift (or more!) you would like to claim.

Hi, Kelly!

I'll take Saturday, 11 - 12, and Sunday, 2 - 3.

Thanks John! And thank you Ross (renoun) for taking a Sunday afternoon shift!

We have lots of open spots Saturday afternoon, folks . . . hmmm, I still have some pirate-themed gifts . . . you *know* you want an inflatable pirate sword, don't you?!?

Kelly,
Funk n Funk will take either 1-2 or 3-4 on Saturday. Gotta check with the other Funk to see which one works best....
You know we are only doing it for the free toy you promised us!

Either time is fine with me... so let's take 1-2.

Got it! And you can both choose a toy from the goodie bag.

Kelly
I tried to download the PDF but it's not working for me.
I'd like to volunteer for a sunday shift. pick an early afternoon spot, pencil me in and let me know when you'd like me there. I appreciate the opportunity to do a little something for club here.

edit: ok... it did download... I'm such a bonehead! :(

Ok, how about 12-1, although if you guys can get there earlier to relieve me, I would appreciate it. Sound good?

I can be there 3-4 pm on Saturday, though I'm not much of a talker. I can smile and look dumb, if this is okay. :la:

I think you read my post when I was offering up two of us Kelly.... I edited it to volunteer only myself. I'll do my best to be there earlier to relieve you though I cannot promise to do so. I may have to make an appearance at the treasure hunt gig. If so I'm not really sure how long I'll be committed. I will however, be at the booth for the 12-1 shift. I wish I could help you out with a Saturday shift but I'm working. :(
Thanks for the spot Kelly.

BUMP!

We still have booth shifts available . . . come show off your NWDC pride and spirit!! (Consider it a fun way to secure yourself a spot to sit and take a load off for a hour after wandering around the lovely concrete floor of the Expo.)

A big thank you to John Rawlings for switching shifts on Sunday, so we now have at least 1 person for every slot that day. However, we still have the 4-5 pm slot on Saturday with no takers . . . anyone? Anyone? Bueller?

Thanks to Kyle (Geek), we have at least 1 person for every shift. YAY! But as in diving, I prefer to use the buddy system, so who will step up to be a booth buddy???

THE EXPO IS NEXT WEEKEND! :partydance:

Thank you to everyone who has signed up to take a shift at the NWDC booth!! If you would be so kind, please send me a PM with your cell phone number (and let me know if you don't do texting) and I will respond with mine so we can contact each other if needed.

If for those of you who haven't signed up to volunteer . . . there are still spots available if you want to join the fun. :)

Thank you , thank you, thank you to all of the NWDC members who volunteered their time at the booth this weekend!! You guys made my "job" of staffing the booth easy, and I really appreciated every minute of your time.

It was so much fun ... like a 2-day long party.

I'll have some pics to post in a bit ...
