A Northwest Diving "Character" Passes

Post by rcontrera »

For those that remember Horizon Watersports in Beaverton, the owner, Bob Brown passed away on Monday.

Bob has been managing a resort in the South Pacific since closing up the shop last year. I first met him when he was just a manager at a dive shop and followed him through his different phases of ownership. Bob was a true character!! Never shy about telling you his thoughts or concerns, he could talk for hours, if you let him, on any topic and you rarely won a debate with him. I never left the shop without him making me laugh about something.

But, when it came to doing business with him (I supplied him with diving gear), he was always trying to get the best possible deal for his customers.

While I haven't seen him since he closed last year, he will be missed.

My heart goes out to his wife Barb.

If you knew him and wish to, you can send condolences or sympathy letters to:
Tawali Adventures Inc,
P.O. Box 1684
Alameda, CA 94501

and they will be forwarded to family members.
