Thanks for the link Kirsten, I believe that I read once that species of squid. Has been caught as far north as the coast of Washington?!

It would be cool to see one but not so cool to "deal" with one.
Yuck!

Great, just what we need ... something that looks like a 5-foot long penis zipping through the water at 25 miles per hour eating everything it comes in contact with ...

A friend of mine who is a dive shop manager says that this is the only critter in the sea that he is genuinely frightened of... :pale:

Nasty critters when they're feeding!

I love the headline....Flesh-craving squid infestation feared!

Of course, if I ever run across one, I hope I will have given in and started using depends. I will need them.

The Humboldt Squid was one of the creatures featured in the Pacific Science Center's 3D movie "Deep Blue 3D". My son kept trying to touch all of the fish. It's now in Blockbuster, but I'm sure my @d LCD wouldn't compare.

How deep is the Puget Sound at its deepest? I'm guessing (hoping?) it won't be deep enough for them... what a nightmare it'd be. I'll need an armored suit like the guy on the Discovery Channel!
