From Monday's dive (#799!)

Two Washington Territory medicine bottles in perfect condition. "N.D. Hill & Sons Druggists Port Townsend, W.T."

Washington became a state in 1889, so these have been sitting on the ocean bottom since before then. Waiting for me!

Well this is fun! Found in Townsend Bay this past weekend...

Franklin Hart Remedy Co, New York. Circa 1880, "FLORAPLEXION cures Dyspepsia Liver Complaint and Consumption". Wow! A panacea.

Found a rounded-bottom blob-top in Townsend Bay this morning. Nice color, and a frosted beach glass look.

Not sure yet whether I will leave the barnacles on or not.

I almost left this one but the irregular bottom made me keep it and it was fun looking it up. Pre-Prohibition whiskey bottle, the Bonnie Brothers were born in the mid-1800's. More than you ever want to know about there business here:

Hello I found some information some time ago on "Washington Control Board" bottles that spatman was inquiring on. However I cannot see his pictures of the bottle as the link is bad. "http://spatman.com/bottle1/" Anybody have any info on these bottles? They are very similiar to what he describes in his post back in 2012. Thanks.

One of my favorite bottles so far, just a cool story and a great name. Total "snake oil", they claimed it could cure all kinds of things including cancer, tumors and deafness.

It was about half full of some god-awful yellow crap when I found it (im sure it was partially the original wizard oil), it smelled horrid and im sure my wife loved me cleaning it in our front yard :supz:

Here is a weird one I found the other night, at first we thought it was some sort of pipe but it doesn't have any hole in the handle that I can see. Maybe a weird gravy bowl or something???

Any ideas on these guys? I found the exact bottle here. https://picclick.com/Antique-KELLOGGS-W ... 03887.html

I just haven't cleaned my bottle fully yet to take good pics. Is it truly from the 1890's?

Thanks,

Rob
