Also, that dive location looks pretty neat. It's off of Fethiye, a town on the mediterranean coast of Turkey.

There was one in cove 2 some 7-8 years ago (longer?). Picnopodia ate it down pretty fast though.

The one in Cove 2 (that I remember) was back in 2004 - it was in about 45ft or so, near-ish to the can buoy mooring block. And it was huge. I'll never forget seeing it because the mating frenzy was going on as I was doing a descent with my team and instructor during a diving course. I remember turning to my instructor and giving him the sign for "time out" and him giving me a HUGE ok and having a grin on his face. We spent our dive time taking in that incredible spectacle of nature and resumed the class work-stuff on the next dive. It was one of the most amazing things I've ever witnessed. The next day we saw the egg mass on a subsequent class dive, and it was easily the size of a VW bug.

I saw a squid egg mass at Marina Beach this year that went about 15 feet. Trying to find my video

Each time I think back on it they get bigger. But they were easily 10 feet long and split off in a Y shape.
Sorry about the poor quality. I've done very little video and no video light.
