Managed a few shots of the Blood Moon tonight. Here are a couple of my best shots:
Went to take a few more and it was all over. Anyone else get some shots?

We were lucky and could see it clearly from home. Space is neato.

I had some clouds, and my camera is in the shop, but I shot a couple of the actual eclipse with my phone. For me, it is cool to realize that I am looking at the shadow of the earth I am standing on.

Oldsalt, I agree. A bit crazy when you dwell on that.

Light falls off the top. Clouds whisp in front. The Earth casts its shadow and, in that shadow, we see lunar details. When the camera collects light for 1/30th second, the Moon -- now almost in full shadow -- appears dark Collecting light for a full second brightens in the Moon and captures a passing airplane. The light reappears, now on the left side. 28-Second Super Blood Wolf Moon Time-Lapse - First, the moon getting darker and darker (1/30th second exposure). I love your shots. The broken tripod produced a really neat effect.

Beautiful. It was really gorgeous, and for some reason unexpected (by me, anyway). One of the nicer ones I remember seeing. At least it opened up for us in Lakewood, I know lots of folks were clouded out....
