Southern adventure contnued

Post by oldsalt »

I used to feel smugly superior as I strapped my gear on and looked at the tourists go by in their orange life jackets. Guess what happened? Old age! After a marvelous week in the Galapagos, we continued on to visit old friends in Peru. In earlier visits we had taken in the most common sites: Machu Pichu, the Amazon, Lake Titicaca, and such. Today we took a tour boat out to Los Palaminos Islands, orange life jackets and all. The main activity was swimming with sea lions. I've dived with them hundreds of times, but this was pretty cool.

Offshore rocks and seabirds always intrigue me. These didn't disappoint.

The big attraction was the Humbolt penguins.

I take photos because I like it, not because I'm good at it. :) by Unknown
