Seeking Gear For New Divers
Seeking Gear For New Divers
A couple weeks ago I got a sweet BCD for a newly-certified friend of mine via diverdown. I also have a couple more friends who are just getting their stuff together for cold water, and I want to start a thread for them to announce whatever they might be looking for. The rest of us might have some good gear kicking around in the garage, collecting dust that we're just too busy to list on ebay or craigslist. So, I'll get those fellas to post here, asking if anyone has some spare equipment for sale.
I know Maciek is about a size medium to M/L and needs everything minus fins, booties, gloves and mask.
Patrick needs a suit and is size L or so.
Tony R. needs everything save a BCD (bought from diverdown), size XL or so.
Connie is looking for everything except a BCD, size S or M.
keng, I'm not sure if you're done with your rig or not.

Good idea, this thread is. Yoda, I'm talking like. Why, I'm wondering? ](*,)
Aside from the drysuit I'm coveting, I'm looking for a deal on a tank, if anybody has one they wanna let go of, lemme know about it, please!

You guys should check Craigslist often. For instance, this dry suit looks reasonable:

I have a Mares MR12 with a scubapro G200 primary and an acro octo.
A XXL Oneil Drysuit.
A halcyon pioneer 27lb BP/W setup.
A pair of turtle fins.
And other assorted odds and ends. PM if you're interested in any of it.

Craigslist
I agree with Calvin. Craigslist can be a great place to shop for gear. Yesterday I picked up a pair of fins, Lower half of a 7mm farmer John, and 20lbs of weights for $25. I often see full sets of gear for $800 or so.
Craigslist
Picked up another pair of Jet Fins today as a back up pair for $15! Perfect condition too. Craigslist is worth checking out
