Great Starter Camera Kit

Post by pgtdvr »

Great starter setup for someone who wants to try underwater photography without the full cost of a front line set up. Back in the day, this gently used kit was the front line. Still a very reliable and effective set up.

- (2) Nikon Coolpix 5000 digital cameras.
- One camera has WC-68 wide angle converter and UR-E5 extension tube
- 2 CF cards - (1 GB)
- Batteries (6) and Chargers (2) for cameras

The Coolpix 5000 is a 5-megapixel digital camera. It includes several unique features such as a fully articulating 1.8-inch (46 mm) color LCD monitor that tilts and swings to virtually any angle to allow for easier framing of subjects and included audio with its movie mode function that captured 60 seconds of QuickTime video.

Key features include:

- High-precision Zoom-Nikkor lens with three large-diameter Aspherical lens elements
- 5-Area Multi Autofocus for easier photo composition
- Macro shooting as close as 2cm (0.8 in.)
- Shutter speeds up to 1/4,000 second
- Exclusive 256-segment Matrix Metering
- Durable, professional-grade magnesium-alloy body
- Vari-angle LCD for total convenience in virtually any shooting position
- RAW image (NEF format) data recording mode
- Intelligent built-in Speedlight and accessory shoe
- Movies with audio (up to 60 seconds)

- Ikelite Undwerwater Housing with Strobe, Arm and Tray. Housing has the extension port for the WA lens converter mounted, also have the original flat port.
- TTL cord

The cameras, housing, etc. work great and are ready to go take pics underwater. I've include photos taken in Puget Sound with this camera.

$345 O.B.O.

This is what I've used underwater for the last few years. I LOVE it! This is such a good deal I'm considering it just for the housing, in case mine ever fails me...except I like to use the internal flash. Someone needs to snatch this up!

Why does everyone have to sell all the great gear when I'm supposed to be saving for my wedding..... It's so tempting!!! :help:
To dive? Or not to dive?... the latter is irrelevant! Get in the water!
