Well someone mentioned the idea of starting a thread where we could post CL (or Ebay) finds that we either don't need or can't afford right now ourselves for other NWDC members.

I'll start it off with this: http://seattle.craigslist.org/sno/spo/1385918669.html

Seems like a pretty good deal to me if you looking for a big tank.

This is another good deal. I have seen this specific suit (same model as I wear) and It's in really nice shape.

I'd bet money that you're correct!

About 10 years back I was getting some tanks filled up at Everett UWS and the manager was talking to a couple that was in the market for a drysuit for the woman. Halfway through the conversation in walks this pissed-off looking young woman who asked if the shop bought used gear. When the manager told her that they didn't, she looked at the young couple and said - "you look about my size - do you need a drysuit?"

We then all trooped out to her car and she opened her trunk - 1 new USIA drysuit (black/pink), 1 new regulator, SPG and octo, 1 new BC, 1 new computer (I can't recall the brand), 1 new weightbelt with pink webbing, 1 new pair of fins (pink, of course!), 1 new pistol-grip light (again, pink), 1 new mask with snorkel, and 2 brand new AL 80 tanks (both pink!). None of this stuff even had a scratch on it.

She told us that she had taken OW with her boyfriend and had just caught him in bed with someone else. She had never wanted to dive, but he had insisted and bought her all this new gear. She told us "Whoever gives me $100.00 cash first gets it all!"....I thought that that young woman wanting a new drysuit was going to get hit by a car dashing across Casino Drive in front of on-coming traffic for the cash machine across the street! She didn't like pink....but at that price....what the heck!

They say that Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned.....that was sure true THAT day!

I recently bought 3 tanks of craigslist, 1 was a 80 aluminum that was made in 1972 and underwater sports wouldnt hydro test it because the alloy used was unsafe or something. The 2 others were steel 72's which are getting hydro right now. I got all 3 for 175 but i feel like the guy took advantage of me. I guess i should be more aware..

Nah....just take it to a different shop. Underwater Sports has that policy, but other shops don't.

Hey, if you're grabbing from that guy, tell him the WTX3 is like $140 new. If you can get a good price off of him, pick it up so I can buy it from you. >0]

Yeah I'm slowly working on getting my tech kit together. Still need a set of HP100s, one reg, a AL40, and a reel

That's some seriously sweet gear. Anybody know how that Salvo 12W LED is?
