Training?, this was all 35 years ago.

Thats why I'm asking for pointers, to relearn this stuff. Hopefully I wont be starting from zero, but for the moment I'm assuming I'm starting from zero.

So then, you were more than likely diving a JIM suit. They are pretty cool, even if awkward. What was your max depth (We both know that's not classified).

Then I would start there. Ask the instructor you'll be taking that training with what they suggest.

At this stage, you need to be looking at path/progression, not the next class. If taking the training elsewhere is what aligns with your goals, then start there and work down so each step is compatible and aligned to work toward your goal.

So I have a question or two..... How where you in the 3rd FR CO when it was re designated to the 4th after the Vietnam War?
Granted, I was 2 at the time, but the history books tell me it ended in 1975....

2nd- I could be deficient in my Marine/Navy knowledge, but I thought FR had their own school and that it is a point of argument whether or not FR guys are/were sent to BUD/S and had it recorded their SRB?

Wikipedia can be wrong, do you have any wisdom on this?

As a Navy Vet, who worked and drank a lot with a few teams, I have a couple of questions as well, as some of the things you are saying is confusing me, as I don't recall SEALS performed some of the tasks (NEDU did):

What is your BUD/s class number?
Who was the Honorman in your class?
You said you were part of Team 4, yet I don't see you on the roster. Could you explain why?
What was you Rank/Rate?

Thanks,
D

3rd Force Recon Existed to 1977 at least.

Heheh, those aren't classified. Any SEAL would have his class number burned in to his skull, and would recite it proudly when asked. No individual SEAL is classified.

Lol yes but not a super rescue seal diving a hard suit from a sail boat. Only a few people know they exist. I have said to much the black helicopter is overhead.

Thanks for the offer, but I will pass. I am a Navy Veteran, and proud. I believe you may be painting your military career a little too bright, and i've found that creates an association i would rather not have.

Honor, Courage, and Commitment. I definitely don't succeed all the time, but i try.

Kinda on the subject,

Generally speaking, often times when I walk into a bathroom I'll elect to use the shortest urinal as this seems the best way to avoid any possible splash up, anyone else?

I'm not sure. I never tried to sit in a urinal.
