Newb from Vancouver WA.

Post by dokaman »

Hello all
New to the board and looking for some fun dive trips. I started diving in March of last year and am Advanced certified for now, Rescue this spring. So far I have about 20 dives in and really enjoying it. I live in Vancouver WA and have been Diving with Thunder Reef Divers.
Go get wet!

Hey Justin,
Check out the Oregon Scuba club. They are located on Portland Oregon but they do love people from Vancouver Washington.
They have organized free monthly shore dives and monthly meetings where you can hear presentations about diving and meet other divers.

Last Weekend we did a crab dive at Netarts Bay and it was awesome!
Lots of things to look at besides getting crabs.

Nice that is was only an hour 45 to get there :)

This next weekend a local shop in Vancouver (Seven Seas Scuba) has a free shore dive going on at Les Davis In Tacoma.
Give them a call and get on the list -- They will gladly buddy you up with someone and you can go diving!

Welcome,

This is a great place to meet other divers, ask questions, and learn about dive sites. This forum has loads of local knowledge. I also second what Jeff said about Oregon Scuba Club. Also being the new president of the Oregon Scuba Club I would like to say we fully encourage people to join, use and support Northwest Dive Club (NWDC). We have been known to stow our club banners to show up at NWDC dives as NWDC members. :partyman:

Justin, welcome to the sport and to the boards.
I spent part of my initial college years in Vancouver (Clark College, "Go Penguins") and travel through there many times throughout the year to visit family.
May have to give you a shout when I am coming back through the area.
