hello from portland

hello nwdiveclubbers!

i'm a new diver here in portland, or. even though i grew up splashing around the new england coast, and then later in life the west coast, it took many many years to finally get my OW cert. now i'm kicking myself in the butt for not doing it sooner.

i'm still getting my feet wet <rimshot> with diving in general, and especially with coldwater diving. i appreciate the help 'clubbers have given me so far and will hopefully continue to do in the years to some.

i look forward to getting to know the dive community and the dive sites here in the northwest.

We have many shore dives up here. And several Buddies!

Welcome to our "Nut and Fruit Bowl". :wav: :wav: Do we need to have a sub group of Oregon divers? At $3.25 a gallon need to cut that trip cost down a bit.

glad to be here in the fruit and nut bowl. does that refer to the produce or the people? or both?

and yes, a carpooling oregon contingent would be great.

depends on if its bonehead inflicted or from doing something stupid, but then pain fades and chicks dig scars

I have not decided yet. I really want to but Way to much history with Mike's that is not to friendly. Last time I checked they wanted to charge me to tie up at their dock, or beach the "Scuba Kat" on the beach.

I think we are going to stay elsewhere, and just meet up with you guys. I plan on diving at least "Flag Pole and Misery Reef for sure. If we stay the night then maybe Rosie's Ravine and Pulaui Pt. Maybe see another 6 Gill like last year.
