Back in the water new member

Post by Nomad1662 »

I recently got PADI recertified and then got advanced open water, I’ve dove several times since but I haven’t been out this past summer, but I’m getting back in the water now as much as I can.
I have all my gear, a nice little rhib and a pretty open schedule
A few places I would like to dive:
Warhawk
Freshwater bay
Octopus hole
Seal rock
I like the macro stuff I spent 40 minutes watching a shrimp clearing a hole it was sharing with a fish in Thailand.
I would also like to give scuba crabbing a try Dungeness bay is loaded with them.

There's a few of us who live in the area. I'm often in Port Townsend, and user McGlencoe is also in the area. And a few more over in Kitsap county.

Good to have another diver around!

Also, we're having a club dive and bbq in a few weeks - it's a bit of a trek for you, but you're welcome to join us!

Oooh, you're lucky to have Salt Creek near by! At least when the conditions are right :)

I would love to hear your reports when you head out there... A few of us may head out there when conditions look good.

Another good place for macro is Keystone when the tides are right. You'd have to take the ferry from Port Townsend over. But it's a very current sensitive site.
