Welcome to NW Dive Club Bassman and diverdown!

Bass, I totally agree that the drysuit is a must this time of year. Dave and Ryan were diving wet until Nov/Dec and finally they both bought drysuits after coming out of the water looking like half melted popsicles.

I think the general consensus is to put together a dive or two this weekend. I'm available Sunday :)

Hello I dive with Sparky. I travel a fair amount with the Coast Guard. Mainly south of Mexico. Just got back from a very eventful patrol with two dives around Acapulco.

A little more about me

Post by BASSMAN »

New to scuba as of August 05'. (Open Water Diver)

I have about 20 dives logged as of right now.

Ultimate Goal for now is to dive in Alaska, catch a few King crabs, check out some of the wrecks. I would like to do my advanced open water training up there.

I did a four dives in Peurto Vallarta, Mexico (92 degree water!)

All other dives have been shore dives here in the Puget Sound area.

I would like to dive Day Island soon

I'm Calvin. I've been diving for about 4-5 years, I've been diving in a bunch of tropical places. I didn't really get into the cold water diving till last year, when these yahoos started dragging me out there, kicking and screaming. I'm certainly no Bassman, who apparently likes to dive in frigid water. To each his own!

I love to write about diving and gear, and take some photos. you can check out my site here.

introducing myself

Post by da_jab »

Hi all,

my name is Janne and I come from Finland. I'll be staying for a month here in Seattle area and will be eager to get into the water while being here.

At the moment I have 300+ dives making 229 hours in total dive time. Dives I usually do are around 30-40meters (90-130ft) with a usual maximum dive time of 60minutes, depending on site and conditions ofcourse. My usual gear configuration is dir-style set with a wing style bcd, steel backplate and 12litre 200bar (80cf 3000psi) double tanks but during my time here I guess I have to just dive on single tank configuration, since doubles seem to be a bit unusual rental item.

I'm good to go almost every evening and daytime during weekends.

Cheers
.Janne

Great to have you NW Diver, we actually have a member, Jeff, who has anywhere near the experience in the water that you have. I'd loooove to have another photographer around. Check the other thread, we're diving this weekend.
