Hello All
John Rawlings told me about this site and said that I should join, so here I am.
I have been certified since 1970 and are currently diving a KISS Classic Closed Circuit Rebreather.
My wife and I are enjoying the incredible world of rebreathers which allow us to do deeper and longer dives. We are both very active in the sport and have been to many interesting places. My wife, Mel Clark, is a technical OC, SCR and CCR instructor and is on the go all the time.
I look forward to participating in this forum.

Hey, Curt!
Welcome to the gang!
I think that you'll find this to be the friendliest little group of divers on the web, as well as the most active in terms of discussion.
I'm glad to have another one of my good dive buddies on board, as well as a fellow KISS diver!

Thats my better half. She let me use her camera for a few shots. All the pictures on our site were taken by Mel. She does the stills and I do the video .Calvin Tang wrote:Awesome site Curt! I love the photo of the diver (is that you?) kissing the juvenile wolf eel.

If I recall correctly, the photo that Curt is using for his avatar was taken in Truk Lagoon (aka Chuuk)....is that correct, Curt? (If you ever want to be fully occupied for an hour or two, just ask Curt about Truk!)Calvin Tang wrote:Curt has the coolest avatar of all!
That's one of the benefits to diving regularly with an accomplished still photographer - plenty of great shots to choose from of YOURSELF! My house and office are chock full of shots of my dive buddies, but I don't have very many photos at all of me, much to my wife's chagrin, (Ginny is still my biggest fan, and I'm her's!).

This trip to Truk Lagoon was hosted by Ron Benson of Going Under Dive Center who is located in Minn.. Ron stagged all the tanks, O2 and Helium at Truk before we arrived.Calvin Tang wrote:I have a question about that photo then... How the heck do you bring all that gear with you overseas? My weight restrictions always kept me to the basics. I never thought of bringing tanks, much less stage bottles!
I still had my hands full of gear, even without the tanks.
We did two, two hour dives per day for 7 days and saw some incredible WWII wrecks. Most of our dives were in the 150-200 ft range. We were diving trimix and got 4-5 hrs out of our 19 cu ft tanks and soda sorb fill.
What a great way to see some history and the people were very accommodating.
What a fantastic experience, I highly recommend it.
The most recent Advanced Diver Magazine has a great article about this trip- " WWII Wrecks Of Truk Lagoon CCR Invasion"
Contact John about how to get a copy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
