Fox Island Bridge

Post by TCarter »

Dive Site Name: Fox Island Bridge

Current Sensitive: Yes, should be dove on a small exchange. See Northwest Shore Dives for timing, and other site info.

Location/Address: Bridge to Fox Island (Fox Island side, next to boat launch).

Directions: See NWSD.

Free Parking: Yes, fairly large dirt lot.

Staging Area: Stage in the parking area.

Surface Swim: Short.

Nearby Facilities: Nothing nearby. Convenience store on Fox Island, or go back to Gig Harbor.

Special Considerations: Best to dive here in the winter, for minimum boat traffic and fewer boat ramp users.

Maximum Depth: 30'-60' max.

Dive Site Description: Series of large concrete bridge foundations, absolutely covered in anemone's and giant barnacles. Very nice dive, although on small exchanges I usually head to Sunrise or Day Island, this site is definitely worth a visit. Good one to follow with West Wall.
