March Seminars: Treasure Hunting, Fish, & Tides/Current!

Post by Dive_Girl »

Seven Seas Scuba is hosting a number of complimentary diver related seminars in March:

Tuesday, March 8th (7-9pm) - Tales of Treasure Hunting with Barry Dunford
We are hosting PADI Regional Manager Barry Dunford as he shares his entertaining stories and finds during his days as an underwater treasure hunter.

Monday, March 14th (7-8pm) - The Fishes Stay the Same, the World Around Them Changes - presentation by Andy Lamb
We are hosting Andy Lamb, co-author of Coastal Fishes of the Pacific Northwest, as he talks about our relationships with and impact on marine life. Andy is also a featured columnist in Northwest Dive News with his "Mystery Critter" series. When Andy is not at speaking engagements, he can be found running the Cedar Beach Ocean Lodge B&B on Thetis Island, BC with his wife Virginia.

Thursday, March 31st (7-9pm) - Intro into Tides and Currents Presentation & Workshop
Interested in learning about tides and currents in the Pacific Northwest? Then please join me for an evening where we explore the basics of where to find tides and currents information and then participate in a dive planning workshop.

Each of these events are complimentary. Please post here (or send me a PM) if you are interested in attending some or all of these events so we have a head count for chairs and handouts.

If you have ever been interested in sitting in on the Tides & Current presentation but Vancouver is not local to you, I will be giving an hour long version of this presentation at the Dive & Travel Expo on Saturday, April 9th at 3pm. :)
