Bob Bailey's Gas Management Seminar

Post by Zen Diver »

Yes folks, for anyone who's not yet had a chance to attend Bob "Grateful Diver"s wonderful Gas Management Seminar, this is your chance. He'll be presenting it at TL Sea Diving on Tuesday, January 29.

This is your chance to learn how to safely plan your dives according to your gas consumption, cylinder size and more. If you've already attended one of Bob's seminars, this is a chance for review.

Come one, come all! Start time is 6:00 pm, and as usual it's FREE!!!

I am eager to attend this seminar but have a prior commitment that date. Bob, do you have an idea as to when & where you may hold another one of these?

I hold them pretty much when someone invites me to ... wouldn't be able to do another one till at least April.

I'll post it here when another one gets scheduled ...

This is well worth the drive, the time off work and the effort to attend this seminar.
Thanks Bob,

I second what Kirsten said - definitely worth the drive. Want to know WHY it's not a good idea to go to 130fsw on an 80cu' tank? You'll find out. It's simple math, but it'll open your eyes and I promise you'll have an "Ah Ha!" moment.

Hmmm the 29th is a Tuesday... I might be able to make it. I've gone through the training and reviewed the material several times. It really changes the way you plan your dives and how you approach safety and being a good buddy.

Best part is it's free \:D/ and Bob's a great instructor.

I found the website for TL Sea, but could not determine where they are located. I'd liek to attend this class, but work at UW Seattle until 6:00 or 6:30.

TLSea is located on Pacific Highway in Des Moines. From Seattle:

- take I-5 South to exit 149.
- turn right at the bottom of the ramp
- turn left onto Pacific Highway south
- they're located about 100 yards up on the right

TL Sea is on Pacific Hwy, right at the Des Moines/Kent border, across the street from the Post Office and next door to Starbucks/Burger King/Pizza Hut.

If you want to work with one of your local dive shops to offer to host it, I'd be willing to come down there and give one ... can't do it before April, though ...

Loretta ... I would be happy to offer the seminar in the Portland area. All it would need is a dive shop or other suitable place that's willing to host it.

If you, or anyone in the Portland area is interested ... talk to your dive shop. All it takes is an invitation.

Bob, I'll talk to my shop and see if they'd be interested in hosting. PM me details with what it would really take to get you down here.

I don't usually work on Tuesdays...
And I have been wanting to take this class from Bob for a while now...

I know where TLSea is located...

Looks like things just might align so that I could finally attend this thing.

For Portland, it would have to be on a week-end ... I work a day job Monday thru Friday.

Colleen, glad you can make it for the presentation at TLSea ...

It's a vicious cycle ... when I was unemployed I had all the time in the world for diving, but limited money to enjoy it. Now that I have a job I have plenty of money for diving, but limited time to enjoy it ... #-o
