Bob Bailey's Gas Management Seminar
Bob Bailey's Gas Management Seminar
Yes folks, for anyone who's not yet had a chance to attend Bob "Grateful Diver"s wonderful Gas Management Seminar, this is your chance. He'll be presenting it at TL Sea Diving on Tuesday, January 29.
This is your chance to learn how to safely plan your dives according to your gas consumption, cylinder size and more. If you've already attended one of Bob's seminars, this is a chance for review.
Come one, come all! Start time is 6:00 pm, and as usual it's FREE!!!

I second what Kirsten said - definitely worth the drive. Want to know WHY it's not a good idea to go to 130fsw on an 80cu' tank? You'll find out. It's simple math, but it'll open your eyes and I promise you'll have an "Ah Ha!" moment.
Hmmm the 29th is a Tuesday... I might be able to make it. I've gone through the training and reviewed the material several times. It really changes the way you plan your dives and how you approach safety and being a good buddy.
Best part is it's free and Bob's a great instructor.

I found the website for TL Sea, but could not determine where they are located. I'd liek to attend this class, but work at UW Seattle until 6:00 or 6:30.Zen Diver 2 wrote:He'll be presenting it at TL Sea Diving on Tuesday, January 29.

TLSea is located on Pacific Highway in Des Moines. From Seattle:
- take I-5 South to exit 149.
- turn right at the bottom of the ramp
- turn left onto Pacific Highway south
- they're located about 100 yards up on the right

If you want to work with one of your local dive shops to offer to host it, I'd be willing to come down there and give one ... can't do it before April, though ...BUZO71 wrote:I have to work until 5pm When's the next class?

Loretta ... I would be happy to offer the seminar in the Portland area. All it would need is a dive shop or other suitable place that's willing to host it.
If you, or anyone in the Portland area is interested ... talk to your dive shop. All it takes is an invitation.

For Portland, it would have to be on a week-end ... I work a day job Monday thru Friday.Scubagirl45 wrote:It would have to be a weekend for it to work for me (I have a 3 hour drive), but I can usually take off for Portland on any given weekend.
Colleen, glad you can make it for the presentation at TLSea ...

Re: day jobs
It's a vicious cycle ... when I was unemployed I had all the time in the world for diving, but limited money to enjoy it. Now that I have a job I have plenty of money for diving, but limited time to enjoy it ...Scubagirl45 wrote:Those darn day jobs!! Why do they always have to get in the way of having fun?
