ID query's for the Experts

Post by Dusty2 »

Found these thing on the Thursday night dive at Les Davis and Titlow
First were these unknown egg masses. They just appeared in the last few days and there were several of them in about 20 FSW they are really tough to focus your eyes on and look more like a mirage then eggs

Next is this strange little critter. At first I though it was just critter poo but after looking close I realized it was a critter of some type that does a very good job of blending into the yuck growing on everything down there right now. I had to really work on the pix to get enough detail to be able to distinguish that it really is a critter.

The critter is a polychaete scale worm in the family Polynoidae.

Wow -- thanks, Leslie! I would never have thought of worm from that picture.
