This is a first time sighting for me , only a quarter of inch long, so most my shots are out of focus, it was drifting through in about 15 feet of water. According to a book, this jelly is pelagic and lives only for a month or two. Holmes Harbor is in Freeland, shore dive for me, but only on high tide, for it is very shallow for a long stretch, and past the Eel Grass patch in about 15-20 feet of water it slopes gently into deeper water, not much there to see. I use it when Keystone and Langley are too rough or not diveable for some reason.Brinybay wrote:Those are the wierdest looking jellies, I've never seen them before! Whidbey Island? What's their depth range? Come to think of it, where the heck is Holmes Harbor? Is it a shore dive?
