I'm going down to LSU in a couple of weeks to watch my "little" brother play against LSU. Are there any places around the University that I need to see or that are "must eat here" restaurants?
Thanks!

Mudbugs!!!!!!!!!!
I know, y'all have them here, but they just aren't the same. I think the water is too clean.
I don't know much about Baton Rouge specifically, more New Orleans and Shreveport. I'd expect it to be similar to both those garden spots so watch your back and be careful.

Re: Baton Rouge
Not what I meant by similar. Personal safety standpoint, need a sarcasm sign smiley to go with "garden spot". Parts of NO are definitely "wetter" than most places.defied wrote:Shreveport is drier than Baton Rouge, and NO is uh... well.. obviously wetter.azathoth wrote:Mudbugs!!!!!!!!!!

ETA: Was just making a sandwich and it reminded me, pick up some Blue Plate Mayo while you're down there. Also on the subject of sandwiches, if you can make it to NO the store that invented the Muffeleta is on Decatur, I think. Almost worth the drive by itself.

The Chimes, Mike Anderson's, and Juban's are a few of my favs. They are in order from least to most expensive. The Chimes is basically on campus and will be packed close to gametime. You might here some people mention Walk-On's but I think the food sucks. If you have any q's let me know, I lived there for about 7 years.
