OLED Atomic RGBM Dive Computer

Post by mattwave »

That is right, a new OLED dive computer, details after DEMA to follow.

The Atomic Cobalt is Simply Brilliant

and there is nothing like it in the diving world.

Come see and compare the bright OLED Cobalt display

and the exclusive Atomic-Weinke RGBM algorithm.

If it says, "ATOMIC" on it, it's going to be $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

We don't have a MSRP on it yet. We don't even expect it to be available until after the holidays. However, like all Atomic stuff, it is going to be nice. I can't wait to see it! I have been waiting about a year for it to come out...I am excited to get one and dive it.

If it's as bright as the liquid visions OLED display, you should be able to really see it easy :)

Atomic or not, it will have to be less expensive than the Liquivision (although almost certainly not as versatile). But I can tell you, as somebody who has been diving an OLED display for over a year, it's absolutely worth it!

I look forward to seeing the Atomic at DEMA too. Recently there have been several new computers coming out with OLED technology following Liquivision's introduction of them to the market.

I just returned from the UK dive show and enjoyed seeing the new Shearwater OLED computer. Bruce did a great job with it and I enjoyed the opportunity to learn more about it. =D>

2010 promises to be a very cool year for dive computer technology. :partydance:

the very colorful bright screen... my video system does not do it justice. you can kind of get a feel for how bright and vivid the screen is as he's swimming around the end of the beams as you can make out the screen/numbers even with his big LED video lights pointing at camera.

That's quite the inside tip! I spoke extensively with the actual developer/manufacturer and the Atomic folks at DEMA and they didn't mention anything about a wrist-mount.

Usually people's first posts are in the intro section, and with the first being the webpage and the second showing some inside information, I don't think it's unreasonable to suspect you have a connection to the company in one manner or another. Am I wrong?

Because before all the computer vendors left home for DEMA they had a company briefing where your photo was passed around and employees were given strict instructions not to divulge trade secrets or production timelines to "Mole-cue"

I usually steer clear of these, and I'm probably just being Grumpy McGrumperson cause I'm sick of this cold, but does it really matter if he/she is?

Yes, it'd be nice to know if Scubadudela has a vested interest (my guess is he/she does), but Doug, you've made your share of questionable plugs under the guise of a "fun video" or some other topic for the product you sell.

I'm not saying this isn't worth questioning, or even calling BS on, but I'm not sure you should be the one doing it.
