Probably worse than that paper mulch and glue that comes down the river in to Commencement bay, and on through to Les Davis...

Looks like we have some good tide exchanges during the night. Hopefully it's enough to flush out Elliot bay. I certainly would not be eating anything from this part of the sound. Yuk!

No kidding. I see people fishing off that pier all the time, and I just shake my head in wonder- it just can't be healthy to eat fish from that water.

From the news article:
"Obviously that's bad," said David Dicks, executive director of the Puget Sound Partnership, a state agency charged with protecting and preserving the Sound. "The input of raw sewage into Puget Sound is bad."

Ya think? And this guys is the executive director . . . how eloquent.

That's probably why he's the Executive Director, and not the Communications Director. >0]

I was going to do some crabbing in area 10. I think I will have to pass. Now I know why this area does not get over fished and is open longer. #-o #-o
Life can be short and dives even shorter. Time off work will put it all in perspective.

Cove III was fine and clear today until we started stirring it up doing drills. Appearntly nobody at the several shops running classes had any qualms about it either. Perhaps the solution to pollution really is dilution.
