Club dive was great!

Post by spatz84 »

Hey just wanted to say I had a great time at the club dive, was my first one! Good dives, good company, and good food. Marks brisket was a big hit! The homemade quacomole was also a personal favorite. Thanks to Penelope and everyone else involved with planning this event and seeing it through. When do we see the Pics from this event?

Well, I took a few pics, but I was using Calvin's camera! Maybe once he wakes up and has some coffee he'll post a few shots. :coffee:

I almost didn't drive down for it because the weather was so darned NASTY up at my place, but when I did come down it was great seeing so many folks there!

Briskets were da bomb. I had a great time even though I couldn't dive. I think we should have another one before the end of the summer.

How about a club week-end at Porteau Cove? Mid-September they quit taking reservations. If we can get someone to head up early on Friday and snag a couple choice campsites, it'd work out great. Did that a coupla years ago for ESDC and it was fantastic.

Besides the dive park which is right there at the campground, Whytecliff is only 15 minutes south ...

Bob, keep me in the loop. I may volunteer to go and save some spots

Where's Porteau Cove?

All this talk makes me really wish I'd been at the club dive...

The Guac was easy but the Brisket was awesome! Thanks for the comps though... It was great being able to put some faces to names and finally meeting a bunch of you! A special thanks to Bob for being my dive buddy and helping me get sorted out... I had a great time and look forward to many more events and dives with you folks! Dive weekend? Sounds like a blast!!!

As always, this club dive was a darned good event! I was surprised at how many folks braved the weather to come down!

Special thanks to P-Pants for setting things up! =D>

The food was fantastic and the diving wasn't too shabby either. It was nice getting to meet lots of new people. Kim and I had a great time.

My only descent photo.

Those have been showing up there recently. I saw one the other evening with Jabberjaw (he pointed it out to me). I didn't have my camera then ... but Cheng and I are going back this evening. Hope to see another one.
