Interesting worm shot

Post by Dusty2 »

I took this today at Sund rock. There were jillions of good sized Flabellina triophinas breeding and laying eggs. I noticed as I was looking through my photos that this one had something strange about it's entrails. When I blew it up to look close I realized it had a scale worm inside it. I have seen them on nudies before but never IN one. It doesn't seem to be causing to much of a problem for the nudi as it looks healthy and was actively laying eggs.

The worm definitely should have taken that left turn at Albuquerque...

It's not really inside. The Arctonoe is a juvenile and juveniles are almost always translucent. The colors of the two animals are so similar it's hard to tell where one starts & the other ends.
