I don't think even the seals will dive in that kind of weather!! For sure all the seagulls and cormorants were sitting it out.

Fortunately for those that live there it was a SW wind so they were somewhat protected inside the bay

We had a day like that in Port Hardy ... but I think the seals were in the water, because the waves were crashing over the rocks where they'd otherwise have been staying ...

We were digging razor clams on Long Beach Monday with 60 knots gusts. Well, I should say, we were TRYING to dig razor clams Monday with 60 knot gusts. It was a west wind so there was not much of a low tide due to the surge.

I did manage to get ONE while the water was out. I had to run out real fast before the next big wave swept me away.
