Come on... I've had to listen to Bill go on and on about how "We're goin' down on the Hooker, and whether you penetrate her and how far is up to you, etc. etc. etc. all week long...." #-o

All of these lovely little double entendre's brought to you courtesy of Bonaire's best known wreck dive, a 200+' freighter sunk between the double reefs just north of Salt Pier.

This was my first time to enter the holds and swim between compartments - very nice. There are several resident Tarpon, and we saw a couple Barracuda and a nice school of jacks. My best dive on the Hooker to date...

Matt and I dove off of Camano island yesterday.... vis had to be 30 feet or better. Best vis I have ever had diving in the sound,.....Absolutly amazing....

We dropped anchor in about 30-40 feet... Im looking down securing the anchor line and I say..."Matt, your not gonna believe this... but I can see the anchor! " Awesome!

5-[20:22]-10 every site I hit from Edmonds to Day Island had viz ranging from a low of 12-15 to a high of 20. Conditions were fantastic relative to reports from earlier this month.

Redondo, May 28, 2010.
First dive viz was 3-5 down to 20fsw but opened up nicely down at 60-90 fsw. Dive #2 was a complete brown out for the entire dive at any depth........

4-5' down to about 40fsw (except when traveling through all the silt clouds with 1' vis). Then "opened up?" below that to maybe 7-10'.

Cove 2 yesterday afternoon, at a fairly low tide, was about 5' down to 20 or so, and then opened up to a good 15 or so. MUCH better than a couple of weeks ago -- I could see the first set of jackstraw pilings (albeit dimly) from the I-beams rope.

T-Dock last night about 8:30 was about 10-15' below 35' and the Octo's gettin' bigger... He?'s pretty well fed judging from the # of crab shells around the den...

Three Tree North around noon today the viz was just above horrible. Maybe 5' down to around 65 fsw, below that it expanded to maybe 10'. I can't really call that "opened up." We did find a nice GPO and a couple of young ratfish; it was TTN so of course it was a good dive.

On to Redondo around 4 PM, where the viz was equally bad. At the VW, we couldn't see from one end of it to the other.

I'll be glad when this spring gook-fest is over......

But I'd still rather be diving Puget Sound than just about anywhere else.

Viz at Davidson Rock was about 15, maybe 20 in places; at Whale Rocks (incredible site, BTW) it was a good 20 -25 with a lot of ambient light all the way down to 85 feet.

Deception Pass Wednesday, Thursday and yesterday -20 feet, very little current
Possession Point Ferry today - twenty feet at depth, first 15 feet planktonic soup. Only one Lingcod sighted :( Current.
Love the new mooring buoy. watch for fishing hooks and line tangled in the mooring line. And on the wreck...

Lake Washington Friday morning was a solid 20-25' at the Valiant (110 ffw).

Cove 2 was 10 feet this am, but dropped to less than 5' by mid-afternoon (with a wicked current too)

Redondo this evening was 0-1' down to about 30 fsw with the added surprise of mass amounts of egg yolk jellies in that same depth range.
It opened up to about 10' down in the bottle field.........

At Redondo we dropped by the pink buoy and my wife ran right into one of those jellies, a huge one that managed to sting her lip. Not too bad, though, thankfully.
