Headed for the Hood tomorrow, and I know viz can be an iffy proposition there, but here's hopin'! Report tomorrow...

You're spoiling those students. The whole point of taking class in local waters is to get comfortable with Low vis. They're going to think it's always like Hawaii in Puget Sound.

Sund Rock today was 20' variable viz with clouds of fry cutting the viz down. My max depth was 34fsw because my ear wouldn't clear, but I'm guessing it was better down deep.

if you find a black frameless mask (hey, before you poke fun at posting color, there are white ones with flowers at UW Sports Federal Way) it might be Lamonts...

TTN this moning was between 5-15 fsw. Keith and I went down to 116 and it didn't get any better. Optimal depth seemed to be about 60 fsw. Good mix of available light and visibility.
TTN yesterday around 5 PM was pretty bad, 5-10 feet at best. We got to around 70 fsw and it didn't really get any better. Still lots of critters out, though, including a tiny octo and two lion nudibranchs.

Cove 2 last night was awful. In places, it was probably three or four feet in the shallows. It "opened up" to maybe 10 at 50 feet. Definitely another bloom!

Redondo 7/29 Less than 5' in the shallows opening up to maybe 6-8' in the 35-60' range. Didn't go deeper than that because I had an OW student with me today.
