Ok, you got me. I should be more clear. What I mean is: where did this statement made by Jacques Cousteau originate? Did he write it in one of his books? Did he make this statement in a film documentary? Was it spoken across the podium at a fund raising event? Who recorded/witnessed the event? This is what I mean by authentic source - a specific and verifiable citation.

nope. this is a place with no shipworms (although rising temperatures are changing that). wrecks from centuries ago, still beautifully intact.

ding ding ding! they just found a dozen wrecks while plotting for a pipeline. wanted to check and make sure that nothing was in the way of the pipe AND nothing would be in the way of any anchored ships.
