From what I have seen of him here, I would say that is appropriate... Rawlings! Rawlings! Rawlings! :supz:

I agree John should be nominated. I'm sure John would agree that Bill Walker (not part of NWDC) should also be included.

I vote for them both!

Dive Training has an award for "instructor of the year" - I've got a few nominations. \:D/ :prayer:

Hmmmm....I'm not certain if this is serious or not.....

Gentlemen - Thank you for your kind words. I'm flattered that you would even entertain the thought that I would be worthy of such an honor as this.

However, simultaneously I also find it to be a wee bit embarrassing. Those named to the "Scuba Divers Hall of Fame" are, or have been, quite literally giants in their fields of endeavor.....I hardly fit that description. There are many, many divers here locally far superior to me in their skill level - just on this board Bob Bailey, Valerie Lyttle and Brian Wiederspan immediately come to mind, but there are many others as well. My only claims to fame are longevity and that I am hardly ever quiet!

To attempt to nominate me would be the equivalent of trying to elect the local dog-catcher to Congress.

While I am both flattered and personally grateful for your esteem, I'd appreciate it if this idea would quietly fade away.

Best regards to you all! :salute:

John,
I understand why you might be humbled and would want this to quietly go away.
But, I would still think you are a good canidate for this type of recognition.
I'm sure you have made a difference in many lives, many more than I know of. You have a good sense of scuba about you!
Your nature of helping out fellow divers is evident and is an asset to the dive community.

Thanks again John, for being you =D> .

Now if I misspelled or missused words here fogive me.

So I say to Calvin, Write it, ask John to check it for accuracy and then, if he okays it, Submit it :salute: .

Keith.

I think our local dog-catcher would be a fine addition to Congress.
