Just got this notice from Shearwater Research,
We would like to announce that in the near future, Shearwater Research will start offering our verion of VPM-B on our products.
We have been listening to the market and it is clear to us that there is a large group of divers who like VPM-B and are using it successfully to do decompression dives. Since we have always believed that both GF and VPM-B can be used successfully, we will now give VPM-B divers access to Shearwater products.
We don't have any dates yet, but we have hired one of the mathematicians that was involved in VPM in the early days and we are working on it now. We plan to do a rigorous mathematical evaluation of the algorithm as it is published and expand it to cover the areas that are not specified to produce our implementation.
