When I bought my D100 the sensor was covered in crud but I've been too afraid to try cleaning it so I've just made due and spotted out the worst of it. It was really bad at small apertures. Well, I finally took it up to Photo-tronics in Seattle. I dropped it off, went for a dive at Cove 2 and picked it up. There are still a couple of small spots but it's much better than I could have expected.

Wow!
When I open the first picture, on my desk top, it looks as if I have to wipe it off.
2nd pic is much better, how come it isn't completely clean?

Getting the sensor *completely* free is kinda challenging... Of course, if the fee was high enough then I'd be taking it back for a second round of cleaning, personally.BASSMAN wrote:Wow!

I have found that it sometimes takes 2 or 3 rounds of (very carefully) cleaning the sensor on my camera to get it all. Of course, mine's a dry-land rig and the UW camera's going to have to wait...
