I'm starting a thread. Anybody planning on diving? I would like to make a 6:30 dive.

What is Mukilteo Monday Madness (MMM*)?

Good Times at the Muk... Vis was good below 20' and Fun was had... Great to get back in the water again after life's little challenges... Mama octo under the boat still doing well... Thanks for the dive everyone!!!

Yeah good time, the viz was awesome. The only rain on our parade were a couple of poachers who decided to take a bag full of crab right in front of us. :angry:

I had a funny experience last night with a self appointed scuba-police. We had just finished at the knot, Matt and Ross had both just left and I was moving gear from my cab into my truck bed so I could drive off. An older lady from the Silver-Cloud Inn (a receptionist) came out, glared into my cab and then asked (dialog very close to actuality):

Her: Where is your buddy?!
Me: Excuse me?
Her: Are you Scuba diving? (quite rudely)
Me: I'm sorry, I'm not sure why that is your business (me being standoff-ish)
Her: You are not allowed to dive alone.
Me: I'm sorry, that is not the case.
Her: Yes it is, you are absolutely not allowed to dive alone. Its against the law.
Me: I don't see why that is your business.
Her: Yes its my business, to keep you from killing yourself. You are not allowed to dive alone.
Me: (really annoyed this time). It's none of your business if I am diving, or if I am diving alone. I won't answer your question.
Her: I'm calling the police (she turns in almost jogs into the office).
Me: *facepalm* (finished now moving my gear into the truck bed get into my truck and drive off)

I'm sure she had some self-righteous realization that she "won" and scared me off from diving. I obviously didn't botther telling her that I dove a few hours back... with buddies.

I confronted him:

Me: Hey, do you have a special crab season or something?
Him: It (the crab) had a broken leg
Me: Crab season isn't open
Him: Yeah i think it opened yesterday or today
Me: No it didn't, it doesn't open till July
Him: Huh?
Me: WHAT YOU ARE DOING IS ILLEGAL!
Him: I wasn't crabbing, didn't you see my speargun?
Me: I just saw a bag full of crab
Him: No you didn't

Informed him that i was taking down his number and reporting his ass to DFW. I'm not sure if I've ever seen two guys gear down and leave quicker. They literally hopped into the car with their wetsuits on and drove off - crab and all.

What a couple of Douche Bags! :angry:
