Some pics with the wide angle from Redondo this afternoon.

Post by cardiver »

Met up with Jeff at 1600 today for one dive.
Still learning with the wide angle and really missing a second strobe!

Great shots Ron! Really like the Cockerel's dorids, I don't think that I have ever seen any of them. Bob

David Fessler wanted to show me what I Photo could do with just a minimum amount of tweaking, so I sent him this pic to play with.
Pretty good results so I might soon be going over to the dark side.........

You can get Adobe Lightroom for about a hundred bucks, it is way more capable than iPhoto and is cheaper than switching platforms. You can download a trial of Lightroom and start shooting RAW. If you really want a Mac, I'd still skip iPhoto and get Aperture or Lightroom.

I have LR 2. something. I find it a royal pita to use.
I am shooting RAW.

Oh, I didn't know you had switched to RAW or LR. Personally, I don't like LR much myself. I dislike the interface and the way it works. I like the results though. Especially that you are using LR, I think you will find iPhoto very limiting. If you want to consider "the dark side", we can get together some time and you're welcome to check out Aperture and iPhoto side-by-side on my Mac.

I found LR confusing to use at first, but these videos Calvin pointed me to helped a lot. They covered a lot of features that are too advanced for me for now, but the videos got me up to speed with the basics very quickly.
