Yeah, I'd call it 40+ easy. Great diving!

Two dives at Cove 2 today, the first at low tide, and the second approaching high. Viz in the shallow water (above 80) on both dives was really good -- in the 25 to 30 foot range. Below 80, it was surprisingly bad, down to maybe 15 or even less. Great diving, either way.

Hazy/murky down to ~35-40fsw. Opens up to ~10-15ft viz below that.

TTN is 30' sometimes, but mostly 40'+.

And we're the only vehicle in the parking area.

And it's Saturday.

Weird.

Bummer Ron - we just finished dive 2 - thought you worked weekends. I'll be sure and give you a shout next time.

Things were a hit stirred up with the wind, but it was still 35+.

I'm on two weeks of vacation starting today. Just staying home and diving whenever I can.

OK, being a bit of a viz snob lately (I know, I know, a dangerous thing for a PNW diver) I would say it was at least 30' in the shallows around the dolphins - especially on the first dive. Viz decreased a bit as we rounded the point and came into the open passage and the current it brings, but no way was it just 20'!

Fabulous in any case, and maybe next time I'll bring a tape measure! :calvin:

I'm starting to see a pattern Tom.
If cardiver would have said "50 foot viz!", you would say, "Nope, it was at least 51 feet!"

:stir:

At Jorstad creek we could easily see the surface from 55 feet under.

It is epic.

At Three Tree North we were at 60 feet and I looked overhead and could clearly see the surface. Awesome viz! Tons of jellies out right now too.

EUP today around 1400. You can see the Triumph from the surface up above. Great Viz!
