Dive Saturday - Whidbey, Hood Canal?

Post by eliseaboo »

So in an unexpected turn of events I have Saturday off - anyone want to dive? I know there's that big expo thing, but it seems like a lot of money and work for me to get down there for the day...the tides are le suck also for around here, but maybe someone would want to do Langley or Hood Canal?

Langley is ok to do once, if you haven't before. Not on my redo list unless the rest of Puget Sound Dries up.. .:)

- I got a good squirt in my mouth
- I would imagine that there would be a large amount of involuntary gagging
- I don't know about you but I'm not into swallowing it

Langley sucks then?

I read about it and from the description it sounds like a pretty cool tire reef. And I've yet to dive with "she who does not breathe"...

I wouldnt say it sucks, just at that long a distance to get there, there are better dives much closer.

It's a good dive to do when tides are le suck...such as right now. I rather liked it as a night dive, not sure how it will be during the day. It's shallow though, so be warned I will get cold long before I'm out of air and I'm a wuss now that I'm diving dry...

I suppose we could also drift Driftwood beach to Keystone, but that's much too fast for me to move :P We might also get away with a single dive at Keystone if we timed it just right, the evening currents don't look nearly so bad.

Let me look at the ferry schedule later today...but it will be sometime in the afternoon, probably like 1 or 2.

I guess I will actually have to miss this eliseaboo. My wife lost a close coworker earlier this week and asked that I stay home with her over the weekend. :(

I'll dive with you. I had some dives planned and my buddy had to cancel. Hood Canal would be perfect. Shoot me a pm if you still want to go and we'll sort out details.

Had some great dives today with Elise. It's true. She does not breathe. It's kind of amazing.

Same experience here. If you think you have a good sac rate just dive with Elise.
You breath like a girl! -Blaiz
I thought she was right until I dove with eliseaboo!
