Listing of Underwater Photography/Videography Websites

Post by Scubie Doo »

Fellow UW photographers/videographers. One of the things I really enjoy about this dive board are all of the talented UW photographers and videographers. From time to time I stumble across someone's website in their signature line. I am always amazed at the cool things I find. I know what a great resource and inspiration some of these websites were to me when I first started diving and documenting the cool things I saw. I thought it would be cool to have a "go-to" thread with all of the great websites from NWDC members.

Please post your url in this thread. If you have multiple sites, please list them all. Remember that individual links to one photo or video will be invalid if you move the photo or video, so post URLs that are considered to be long-term/permanent. Feel free to list a write-up about your site or you in the posting.

If this thread has already been started, my apologies. Point me to it and we can get the previous thread resurrected. I am super stoked to see everyone's work.

Good idea Jesse especially for new members who might be looking for such info. Here is my site. There are literally thousands of pix there along with allot of critter ID's and info as well.

There's a LOT of photos that I took of NWDC members in there!

One of the cool things about SmugMug is that people visiting the site can "vote" for their favorite photos by clicking on the "thumbs-up" symbol. The photos on my opening page are the "favorites" and are constantly being re-arranged because of new folks coming onto the site and voting for different pics. Sometimes it surprises me what folks enjoy, but the "otter raft" shot is always at or near the top.

Probably too much of non diving stuff, but some galleries do deal with local diving...

You can find me at these locations:

http://www.seainggreen.com *This site is about to be completely re-done so stay tuned! :)

YouTube user name and/or channel: "Seainggreen"

Vimeo user name "Seainggreen"

Haven't posted much recently due to client work but will have a goodly chunk of time for editing so new footage of LaPaz, BC wrecks, and local NW diving coming very soon. And after July, get ready for some SE Asian adventures... :)

Great idea to start this thread!

Any more members willing to post their URL? I was hoping to see a ton of websites :)

BTW- the ones that have posted are great! Can't say I reviewed every image or video. But the ones I have seen are very impressive.

Here's the web site for my TV series that features lots of underwater video and photos, some by some of the people who responded above. Note that the series is available free as podcasts via iTunes or on blip.tv

http://SEA-Inside.org

My nonprofit has also created a web portal to Northwest waters related media of all sorts, video, photos, music, art, books, etc.

Take a look. If you want to help flesh it out, send me links to media you think ought to be included. This thread was a great idea, I'll certainly look through here for things to include.
