Also had a very nice couple of 1+hour dives and thanks to my trusty Suunto a total of 9 minutes of Deco on the second dive. Seem to be quite a few octos out and only seen 1 lumpy.

I also had a couple of great dives with Ya' All!
I don't have any pictures to load, at this time, but rumor has it, there was BACON  involved! :nutty:

Still, No 6-Gill sightings for my birthday.

Maybe next time... :pacing:

It was wonderful to see Ron back in the water again!

It was a very nice 3 dives, and with all the board members there it was a fine representation of NWDC - I love these mini-club dives! Some did the earlier dives, some did the later, some die-hards did all three. :calvin: But everyone had a great time, and several of us hung out bsing in the parking lot till well after midnight. I am getting too old for these Summer night dives! :rawlings:

Viz was stellar. Critters were everywhere, even though one of our SixGill pups never put in an appearance. I've never had a REEF survey where Blackbelly Eelpout were marked as Abundant, but this was definitely one of them, and the Snake Pricklebacks were close behind.

A few of my pics are here .

I especially loved some of the tiny critters. I spotted a juvenile Sailfin Sculpin that was maybe 1/2 inch long, and as I was trying to take a picture Matt was flashing his Dusty light at me to call me over to see another one the same size, then I saw another, and another.

All in all a wonderful evening of all that we love about our fabulous cold water diving!

Man, y'all are taking some nice pictures lately. I was there Thursday evening teaching a class. Ran into BuckNaked and JeremyB ... thanks for stopping by and saying hello guys.

Redondo does seem to be coming to life lately ... there's just a ton of red octos out there right now. I gotta slow down on the classes a bit and get out more with my camera ...

Another Red Octo. Found more than a dozen of them during the two dives.

I'm thinking the Bacon would have been more effective if we had fried it up, chowed down, then burped through our regulators.

Just thinkin'....
