diw north

hit up diw north last night with Penders and Jessie. Great dive never did the north wall before let alone at night. Awsome dive drifted north with the current then rode the current back. Saw a couple of huge octos a opalescent squid that was very photo friendly for Penders.hopefully Nessie and Penders post some of there pics. :smt064 dont think it could have been timed any better

This last GPO was HUGE, and very active - at one point he stretched a tentacle outside the den, checking out what I was. I had already backed off a bit, as I really didn't want to try to play tug-of-war with my camera setup. Instead, I pointed him out to Bucknaked, and positioned myself to be ready to catch any potential "action" shots. Fortunately (unfortunately) - both the GPO and Buck just sat back and admired each other with obvious mutual respect.
